Purposeful Pages Linkup
Good afternoon, and happy Fourth of July! I saw this linkup and thought, "hey, why not?" Anyone can join at any time, for more info, the hosts' links are on the photo.
Purposeful Pages is a monthly link-up designed to unite bloggers on answering questions about life, blogging, the Bible, writing, and books.
Purposeful pages is hosted by Hannah and Amanda, both of whom are sweet and joyful in the blogging community.
The linkup is the first Saturday of of each month and lasts until the next set of questions. For more information, check out Amanda's post HERE.
On to the questions!
Question One // What verse and chapter of the Bible inspired you the most this past month, and why?
Galatians 3:26-29 "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise."
Which directly correlates to:
Galatians 4:4-7 "But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!' So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God."
See, in those times, only the sons would inherit what their fathers before them had accumulated. Through Christ, we are all sons, thus we inherit what God has promised.
Question Two // What’s a book (fiction or nonfiction) that you read or continued reading this past month that reminded you of an important truth?
I just finished reading Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys, and it reminded me that war affects everyone, not just those fighting in it.
Question Three // Do you have any goals for yourself this month? If so, what are they?
To complete my word count goal for Camp NaNoWriMo.
Question Four // Have you discovered anything new or changed your blog around this past month?
Not specifically, but I Google Friend Connect button has been acting up, so I'm trying to figure out what's up with that.
Question Five // What is your favorite blog post that you wrote in June?
My June Recap, since I wrote it throughout the month.
Question Six // Can you share one quotable thing from your novel/book (if applicable) that you recently wrote?
Why yes, yes I can. Will I? Of course!
After switching on her lamp, Reiyna allowed
herself to be drawn into the pages of a book. It was a good story, she decided
when she finally shut her eyes to sleep; about a clumsy street urchin with unheard
of long hair named Primrose Elmira Sparks, and a boy named Jax whose guardian wouldn’t
let him out of a tower. She had mainly bought the book because the cover was intriguing
and because the synopsis promised that there would be cake and sarcasm.
Question Seven // Favorite new word unearthed from the dictionary?
Flummadiddle- utter nonsense.
Question Eight // In the blogging world, what’s one thing you have learned about yourself?
I can be outgoing and reserved at the same time.
Question Nine // What fictional character would you spend the day with, and what would you do?
Bilbo Baggins. We'd drink tea and study maps, then go visiting Elrond.
I loved reading your post, Chloe! Thank you for participating! <3
