A Day In The Life Explained by GIFs- plus a few other tags / / / / (posting two days in a row, what's this?)

Image
Or just embellished. Whatever floats your boat. Anyways, one day (a very long time ago, I am so sorry)  Marrok  tagged me and I spent half of forever gathering up the gifs and shoving it to the backburner. At first, I put it off because classes hadn't started yet, ergo it would be a very boring post. Then I sort of forgot about it for a few weeks because I was getting back to the grind of classes. Then I was emotionally out of whack (boy, job hunting can get tough, especially when nobody seems to need you. At least now I have my phone number memorized from filling out so many applications). Then I got a job and was just trying to tread water and keep everything in order and make sure all the deadlines were met  and  get enough sleep so I wouldn't be crabby. *tries to find a crab gif so I can pun* *can't* *settles for penguins* Then my classes ended and my job situation changed. And then classes started again, and we left for vacation. And now her...

Because I like to group multiple tags into one post

Image
(Note: I find that many of my posts consist of tags, and though I don't dislike tags [they can be quite entertaining], I would like to cut down on them in the future as they are essentially filler posts. From now on, I'll be a bit more selective.) Thank you to all the lovely people who have tagged me over the past month! Liebster,  Laura Rules: 1. Answer the 11 questions given by the person who nominated you 2. Nominate other bloggers (up to 11) and give them 11 questions to answer. Questions: 1. Would you rather live forever, or die tomorrow? That's a tough one. If I live forever, I could share the gospel with so many people, but never get to go to Heaven unless I was killed (there's a morbid thought). If I die tomorrow, I would go to Heaven (there are no downsides). (there's another thing about me; I like to weigh the costs and benefits to practically everything) 2. Best compliment you've ever received?  Someone told me I was pretty. (Tha...

The Tag Masterpost

Image
Here you are, as promised. Enjoy! The Liebster Award: I've been nominated for this one before. ( Here ) Pfft, I'm doing it anyway. - Thank the blog who nominated you and link back to them. (Thanks  Laura !) - Nominate up to 11 other bloggers to receive the award. To be eligible, they need to have 200 followers or less. - Answer 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you. - Tell your readers 11 random facts about yourself. - Give your nominees 11 questions to answer on their blog when they post their nomination. Questions first: 1. How did you pick your blog name? Well, for a while, it was The Shy Introvert , I think I chose it mainly because I was extra shy, and it had a nice ring to it. However, back in September, I  concluded that I should change my blog name , and asked for a few ideas, among them was Rustling Thoughts.  2. What makes you really happy? Being with my family, also spending some quality alone time with a go...

It's been a year

Image
On this day, February 22, of last year, I published my first blogpost. Anybody know where the time went? Because I'm pretty sure I did this yesterday. The night before, while Mom and I were driving home (I think from church), I asked her the important question: "Can I start a blog?" She asked me why, and I gave her the reasons I had been coming up with since a few weeks before: improve my writing skills, share some of my photography, talk about life, etc. I was all excited about trying something new. I had done my research, so to speak, and I knew what I wanted to use this blog for. I jumped in, headfirst, and plowed through actually making the blog. I had fun trying out all the gadgets, and ended up spending several hours writing my first post. And so, The Shy Introvert. After many, many changes, now you see the finished product; perfect for now, in my eyes, but who knows if and when I'll do a compete overhaul on the design, or if I'll do another name ch...

One Lovely Blog Award

Image
Owing to Wisdomcreates, I have this new tag to do! Thanks a bunch! The rules: 1) Link back to the blogger who nominated you (find her blog  here ) 2) Post seven facts about yourself 3) Nominate 15 other bloggers to participate (I'm bending this one) Hmmm.... What facts have I not told y'all already? 1. I'm way behind in my NaNo project already. (2328 words written) 2. I love drinking tea that is brewed for hours. 3. I am obsessed with this song:  4. I check Christian's math. 5. I love cold weather. 6. I love listening to music when I do school, but I can't stand it when others are loud when I'm trying to work. 7. My depth perception is all out of whack on account of my new glasses. But I can see so much clearer, and they'll adjust in the next couple of days. Though, going up stairs two at a time can be a challenge since my feet tell me the correct thing, but my eyes tell me otherwise. That wasn't so bad. N...

Too Bad 'Sweet' Isn't In Front of 17

Image
Happy birthday to me It's a party of three Everyone else is in Maui So now it's just us three Today I turn seventeen. That sentence has been staring me in the face for the past few weeks. I feel like a deer stuck in the middle of the road watching a semi barrel down the highway at full speed. "What on earth! I'm not old enough to be seventeen yet! I still like to color (stress reliever, ok?), play with my model horses, and pretend that mom is still taller than me."  It's been a great year though. Mom, the littles (Ava, Gabe, Mia), and Lydia are all in Maui. A little bird told me they'd celebrate on the beach for me. We (Dad, Christian, and I) will be meeting them in a few days. Oh wait, that's like, in four days...I gotta pack soon! One of the traditions we have for birthdays is, Mom and Dad will take the lucky person out for breakfast. Seeing as how Mom wouldn't be here, they came and asked me if I would rather have breakfa...

What To Do?

Image
Hey all! I feel like I haven't really been writing as much as I should, but I'm out of ideas for posts. Are there any questions you want me to answer? Anything you want to know? Any post ideas? Tell me your thoughts, I'd be ever so grateful! ~Chloe

Questions and Answers

Image
To those of you who commented me questions in  THIS POST , I now have answers! Jubilee asked these: 1. Are you tall or short? I'm about average, I have a tall dad, and a regular mom. About 5' 6.5" ish. 2. Girly girl or tomboy? A mix of both, but I lean more towards tomboy. If given the choice of either go to prom, or go fishing, hand me a pole! But if given the choice to go to a sleepover or camping, I'd probably take the sleepover. 3. Do you play any sports? I used to play basketball, but I wasn't that great. Sometimes I hit a tennis ball back and forth with Lydia and Christian at the school tennis courts. 4. Who is your favorite superhero? I've not really ever watched superhero movies, so I don't exactly know. Yes, I need to work on that one, so don't freak out. 5. What is your go to hairstyle? A plain and simple braid. My hair has a mind of it's own, and I prefer not to anger it. 6. Do you like to draw or paint? I l...

Sisterhood Award

Image
Miss Sadie of  Buttermilk Sky  has nominated yours truly for the Sisterhood Award! Thanks a bunch! First off, it appears that there are some rules to follow, so I should probably put those in here: 1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, linking back to their site. (Check) 2. Put the Award logo on your blog. (In the process) 3. Answer the ten questions sent to you. (As soon as I find them) 4. Make up ten new questions for your nominees to answer. (Will do) 5. Nominate ten blogs (Ten? We'll see) So, it begins. Oh, look at that, I found the questions: #1 Do you like county fairs? I haven't really been to one, that I can remember. I think I would enjoy it though. #2 Were you ever in some sort of club as a kid? I was a part of Awana for a few years, but that's about it. #3 What's one of the first movies you remember seeing? Probably the old animated Cinderella, or Robin Hood, or The Jungle Book. #4 Which would you rather do: hop in yo...

Ask Away!

One of my followers, she shall remain un-named, has requested an "ask me anything" post. This is it! It you have any questions, please ask them, but do try to remember that I retain the right to discard questions if I feel they are too nosey. If I do not answer your questions, take heart dear friend! I may have several posts dedicated to answering the asked questions. I know I must sound terribly formal. It is because, for some very odd reason, I feel inclined to use such vocabulary. In all seriousness, I am trying not to laugh as I type these symbols into the cyber world. I shall limit the timespan of questioning to June 14. The most important thing to remember is this; have fun, and ask away! Without further ado, I leave you to your questioning. Cheerio! ~Chloe

Hi!

Image
Hi there! Welcome to my little blog. I'm Chloe, The Shy Introvert. I'm very new at this, so bear with me.  Here goes! First of all, and most importantly, I am a Christian. I am constantly reminded that I am not perfect, but I'm ok with that. I know that I am just the way God created me to be. I'm VERY shy. It's not even funny.  I'm 16 (I have absolutely no idea why they call it "sweet"). I'm home-schooled, and I love it! Seriously, why doesn't every one home-school? We're not crazy, I promise. Different, yes, but not crazy. I'm the second-born of six (yes, I said six) kids. I may pick on them from time to time, but if you tease, fight, or are mean to any one of them... You get the idea, right? I love them all very much. As a family, we all love going to the beach. I won't say where though, because of reasons. Sorry about that. I like photography. I'm not very good ye...
