The Tag Masterpost

Here you are, as promised. Enjoy!

The Liebster Award:

I've been nominated for this one before. (Here)

Pfft, I'm doing it anyway.

- Thank the blog who nominated you and link back to them. (Thanks Laura!)
- Nominate up to 11 other bloggers to receive the award. To be eligible, they need to have 200 followers or less.
- Answer 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
- Tell your readers 11 random facts about yourself.
- Give your nominees 11 questions to answer on their blog when they post their nomination.

Questions first:

1. How did you pick your blog name?
Well, for a while, it was The Shy Introvert, I think I chose it mainly because I was extra shy, and it had a nice ring to it. However, back in September, I concluded that I should change my blog name, and asked for a few ideas, among them was Rustling Thoughts.

2. What makes you really happy?
Being with my family, also spending some quality alone time with a good book.

3. Have you ever traveled outside of the country?
Once, I went on a week-long missions trip to Haiti in June. (Anniversary post coming in June.)

4. What are you most passionate about?
Goodness, that's a tough one, especially since I don't usually get really really excited about one particular thing on a regular basis.

I am growing in my passion for Christ.

I do get inwardly excited about books.

5. What is your favorite book? And why?
Ok, really? Asking a book dragon what her favorite book is, is like asking Smaug what his favorite piece of treasure is.

Of course, the Bible is the arkenstone of my entire collection; nothing else even comes close.

Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit, will always be at the top of the list, however, almost everything else is a tie.

6. Who has been your biggest influence?
Probably my parents.

7. If you were in jail, who would you call?
Either Lydia, or Mom and Dad.

8. What is your favorite movie?
A three-way-tie between the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
(i.e., I have nine favorite movies.)

9. What is a song that you can listen to over and over?
This should be easy, but it's really not. I could listen to the soundtracks for the above movies all day, every day.

10. What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
"It doesn't matter whether the cup is half full, or half empty, at least there's something inside, and that's what really counts." Or something like that.

(Actually, I made that up.)

11. If you could leave your family to go to any fictional world, would you?
It depends, would I have a family there, and would they be based off of my family? I still don't know.

11 facts:

1. I finally got my driver's license.
2. I turned seventeen and a half on March 12.
3. I have a strange and possibly unreasonable dislike for bananas.
4. That said, I have no problem enjoying a slice of banana bread.
5. I have yet to fall off of a horse.
6. I don't like big rollercoasters.
7. I love rain.
8. I locked the car keys inside the car while it was still running.
9. I prefer going barefoot.
10. I like to think I have a nice singing voice. (90% of the time I'm off-key.)
11. I sit on the floor while doing school. (Until we figured out that sitting on the floor for several hours made my back hurt. Now I work at a desk.)

And now, for the final tag, I present thee; The Get To Know Me Tag!

Vital stats:

Name: Chloe M. Linn

Nicknames (aka, Aliases): When I was little, Mom used to call me 'Chlo-mo-marimee'. And from time to time, my siblings call me 'Chlo'.

Place of birth: Texas, USA.

Firsts:

Awards: Eh... I remember doing summer reading challenges, I got some awards when we did Upward basketball. Besides that, I can't remember.

Sport: Mom put Lydia, Christian, and I in a tennis camp a couple of times, does that count? If not, then basketball.

Real Holiday: Well, I was born in September, 1998, so that would make halloween the first holiday to be celebrated after my birthday, however, we don't celebrate halloween, so that would make it Thanksgiving.

Concert: I think we've gone to a couple Christmastime Church concerts, but outside of that, none.

Favorites:

Film: I'm cheating on this; how could I choose just one? I'll limit myself to series.

The Star Wars saga
The first three Pirates of the Caribbean
Lord of The Rings
The Hobbit
The Jurassic Park saga

TV Show: I like House Hunters, also The Willis Clan, Dr. Quinn, and Pioneer Woman Cooks.

Color: I toggle between blue and green.

Song: Are you kidding me? I love the soundtracks for all of the aforementioned movies. Also for Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera, Pan, and miscellaneous other movies. I was also introduced to Owl City music a little while ago, and have found a few songs that make me smile almost every time I listen to them.

Restaurant: Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Cheeseburger in Paradise (I don't get cheese on mine, and I know that sounds very contradictory), Babes, and Cheesecake Factory.

Books: Thank goodness this one's plural.

First, and foremost, The Bible.
I really like the Goldstone Wood tales that Anne Elisabeth Stengl has so beautifully created.
Tolkien, of course.
Janette Oke is good.

Currently:

Feeling: Like denying the world and being an anti-social potato by drinking tea and reading a good thick book.

Single or taken: Heh heh...heh. I don't get out enough to be taken, so the answer is single.

Eating: Nothing at the moment, though I am drinking a homemade chai latte.

Watching: Nothing, though I am listening to music.

Wearing: A Captain America t-shirt, jeans, my watch, my glasses, and my sea-shell necklace that I almost never take off.

Future: (you mean that swirling abyss?)

Want children: If it's God's will, though right now, I'd rather have a dog.

Want to be married: Again, if it's God's will, I can't go against it. If He wants me to be married, He will have to work that out in His own time.

Careers in mind: Well, it is possible that I will be taking a college course on computer drafting, which is something Dad does in his work as an architect. I've also always wanted to train horses and/or dogs. I love acting as well. Photography is also fun.

Where do you want to live: Texas, preferably close to home.

Do you believe in:

God: Of course.

Miracles: Those come with God.

Love at first sight: Now, if I were more of a flirty/flighty type, perhaps, however I am not. Therefore, I only believe in like at first sight.

Ghosts: Nope.

Aliens: No.

Heaven: Yes.

Hell: Yes.

Yourself: Depends on what kind of day I'm having. Sometimes I have to be reminded.

Now then, I tag (for all four tags) those of you who like pancakes. Have fun!

    1. Yeah, I do. It's just that I've had most of them on my bookshelf for years, so it doesn't seem like that many when I try to pick one out to read. :)

  3. Ooo, I've never done the Bookshelf Tag or the Get to Know Me Tag. I do like pancakes (who doesn't?), so I might have to do these. :)

  4. My sister has an unreasonable dislike of bananas too but her's extends to everything with a banana flavor or even a banana snuck in that no one would notice but her.
Plain bananas aren't my favorite either though.... I think it's the texture.

  5. Yay, thank you for doing the bookshelf tag! You have a TON of books :O

  6. It's so much fun to read what other people like and dislike. Thanks!

  7. PSA: This will potentially be a long comment.

    The Liebster Award:
Question #1- One of my friends blogs at The Thoughts of a Shy Introvert (https://thethoughtsofashyintrovert.wordpress.com/) . Great minds think alike. ^^
Fact #3- I hate bananas too. Love banana flavored everything, but not banana banana. Y'know what I mean? XD I think it's because it doesn't have juice in it, like apples/oranges/basically all other fruits.
Fact #10- 10. I like to think I have a nice singing voice. (90% of the time I'm off-key.) MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    Bookshelf Tour:
WOAH That is A LOT of books!!

    Happy Tag:
Frabjous is one of my favorite words too. :D
Good Good Father is by Chris Tomlin. ^^

    2. Cool, I'll have to check out her blog. :)

Banana bread is just about the only thing I can stand that has banana in it. If I can't taste it in anything, but then somebody tells me its in there, I can instantly separate it's flavor from the others. It's kind of annoying. :/

Yeah, it is a lot of books, but I've had most of them on my bookshelf for years, so it doesn't seem like very many when I try to pick one out to read.

I have done the Blogging about Blogs tag, you can find it towards the top of this post here: http://theshyintrovert.blogspot.com/2016/01/catching-up.html
Thanks just the same though! :D

  8. How do you make your chai lattes??? I've been looking forever for a perfect recipe but they never turn out :(

    1. Chai tea with frothed milk. I don't know the exact measurements, but I make it in a 24oz mug. I haven't tried putting actual coffee in it yet, but I like it. Hope that was helpful. :)
