Snow, Wisdom Teeth, and the Following Days

Sorry, this is a very belated post, but here goes!

Feb. 25, 2015, Wednesday
So a few days ago, we had an ice storm. Today, we got snow. It's almost March!
Yeah, I'm one of those excitable Texans, who gets ecstatic when white stuff falls from the sky.

We're on the edge of the world!

Hahahahaha! "My hand!" Sorry, listening to Bob Smiley right now. (You should check him out, awesome Christian comedian.)

Ginger. She's old, and she doesn't really like the cold,
but our other cat won't let her in the garage.

The ice was so pretty on the trees and fences.

One of my friends once said, in regards to our crazy weather: "welcome to Texas, if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes." "How true is this?" you might ask. It is now 52 degrees outside, and the only snow left is a thin strip around the house. And now there's a lake in our front yard...

Then there's our cat, who has no idea how to sleep like a cat. But he's cute anyway.

Oh! I just remembered, this is my last day to have all my teeth. Tomorrow, I get my Wisdom teeth out. The ones on the bottom are coming in sideways (Wisdom teeth, not so wise. Hehe). Out of all us kids, I'm the first to have them out. But hey, I get to have a Lord of The Rings Marathon, so I'm good with that.

Feb. 26, 2015, Thursday

My mouth feels ginormous.

So, at eight o'clock this morning Mom took me to the dentist to have a cavity filled and to have my wisdom teeth out. Lucky me, this is a school break week for us, so I should have plenty of recovery time. Honestly, the only thing I remember while at the dentist office was getting the cavity filled, having the dentist put those little round things that have wires coming out of them on me (for a minute, I thought they were going to electrocute me to knock me out), then having an IV poked into my arm. I don't even remember walking to the car, or the ride home.

Mom did not watch them while they were pulling them out, but she said that that when she walked into the room afterwards that I was just sitting there holding my teeth. I wish that some one could have been there to video everything.

Having a smoothie waiting when you get home is really nice, just don't drink it with a straw. Also, having watermelon on hand for later is pretty awesome, just cut it up into teeny tiny pieces, and try not to use your teeth that are close to where your wisdom teeth were; and, above all, DO NOT eat the seeds. Having warm soup is pretty good, just make sure that you like it being blended up.

Feb. 27, 2015, Friday

Dad let me watch Lord of The Rings until 9:30 last night, so I got through The Fellowship, and half-way through The Two Towers.

The first thing I said this morning, after I was fully awake, was: "Snow?!" Yup, it's snowing again. I can't believe it, it's supposed to snow all day! We already have about 2 inches, and it's still going. We didn't have a white Christmas, or New Year's, or even Valentine's day, so now we get to have a white second-to-last day of February. It took a bit of convincing, but Mom finally let me outside to walk around and take pictures. I had to promise not to run, or get over-excited, and to bring in the mail.

The snow was powdery, not sticky
Big difference from a few days ago!

If you look close enough, you can see the ducks in our neighbor's pond

My mouth doesn't feel as big as it did yesterday, but it has swelled some. A lot.

March 1, 2015, Sunday

Well, it is now the fourth day. I was able to have pancakes, eggs, and hash browns. I thought I was in heaven. It was really nice to have a full stomach after eating, I hadn't really eaten much the past few days, so I was feeling pretty crummy. Mental note, if you're hungry, eat! Don't wait until proper meal times. Seriously, I think we should all adopt a Hobbit's meal schedule.

Before I had my wisdom teeth yanked, I was not able to swallow pills very well, now I'm a pro at it.

Well, this is the end of a very long and random post. I hope you enjoyed it!
