Hi!

Hi there!

Welcome to my little blog.

I'm Chloe, The Shy Introvert.

I'm very new at this, so bear with me.

Here goes!

First of all, and most importantly, I am a Christian.
I am constantly reminded that I am not perfect, but I'm ok with that. I know that I am just the way God created me to be.

I'm VERY shy. It's not even funny.

I'm 16 (I have absolutely no idea why they call it "sweet").

I'm home-schooled, and I love it! Seriously, why doesn't every one home-school? We're not crazy, I promise. Different, yes, but not crazy.

I'm the second-born of six (yes, I said six) kids. I may pick on them from time to time, but if you tease, fight, or are mean to any one of them... You get the idea, right? I love them all very much.

As a family, we all love going to the beach. I won't say where though, because of reasons. Sorry about that.

I like photography. I'm not very good yet, but hey, practice makes perfect, and your feedback will be appreciated.

I really really really like to read. I don't understand people who "don't like" reading.

Speaking Writing of, here is a list of books that are like old friends to me. (If you "don't like" reading, you may skip this section if you choose, but I wouldn't recommend it.)

The Bible

The Hobbit, and The Lord of The Rings Trilogy- J.R.R. Tolkien

Heartless- Anne Elisabeth Stengl (There is a reason for the title, the book is an allegory)

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and The Horse and His Boy- C.S. Lewis

Pretty much any book by Janette Oke

The Goose Girl, Enna Burning, and Forest Born- Shannon Hale (This is technically a four-part series, I just don't really like the third book.)

This is all I can think of for the moment, the list may change in the very near future.

I also like watching movies (who doesn't?)

The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings trilogies

Pirates of The Caribbean (The first three, I've never seen the fourth, nor do I have any desire to.)

Les Misérables (2012 film)

The Phantom of The Opera

The Sound of Music (With Julie Andrews) (One of Dad's all-time favorites!)

Frozen (Yeah, I had to put that one down)

Tangled (That one too...)

How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2 (And that one)

The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe

Mom's Night Out

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day

God's Not Dead

National Treasure

U-571 (Very bad language, but good lessons and thinking material)

Soul Surfer

The Man From Snowy River

I practically live on music some days....
I sometimes listen to just one song for hours... Or days...

The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings

Pirates of the Caribbean

Piano Guys

Narnia

Les Misérables

Broadway Showtunes (Showtunes is a word, right?)

The Man From Snowy River

Sherlock Holmes (2009)

On a different note, I love animals. I am often, jokingly, referred to as "The animal whisperer". I do not own a horse, but my neighbor is helping me learn to ride on one of her horses. Our Menagerie consists of several chickens, a few ducks, and two cats who hate each other. But, our house tends to be a stray-cat, armadillo, raccoon, possum, dear, snake, skunk, and *gulp* bobcat magnet.

Random fact, I'm trying to learn Sindarin Elvish. I'll probably use some words or phrases, but don't worry, there will be a translation!

So yeah, that's me. Welcome to my world, enjoy the ride!
(Caution, it may be a bit bumpy, just saying)

Na lû e-govaned vîn (until next we meet)

  1. Oh, my word, I just can't. ALL THE FEELS.

Ahem. First off, YOU HAVE QUOTES FROM GALADRIEL AND THE MISTY MOUNTAINS ON YOUR BLOG. What even is this. (I'm just a wee bit excited right now.)

I so relate to your answers for the books and movies! (But, I feel I should mention, I think the fourth PotC movie is sooo much better than the second and third. There's some weird magicky stuff, but it's not looked upon as "all right.")

You're trying to learn Elvish too?! Oh, my goodness! I'm trying to pick up Quenya at the moment, and it's not coming too stupendously. But I was able to make a (very, VERY rough) translation of the song "Into the West" into Quenya! That was a happy day for me;)

    Love, LOVE IT!

    1. First off, I'm so glad you like it!

Yeah, I kind-of have an obsession with Lord of The Rings quotes....

Yup, in my spare time. I'm not at a place where I can automatically translate in my head yet, but I have accidentally used elvish words in conversations.

That is AWESOME! What was your inspiration to learn?

  3. Hi Chloe!

Nice to meet you! Welcome to the world of blogging! I'm the second child in my family (of 12 children) and I was also homeschooled. Like you, I loved it.

(I do not understand people who don't like reading either. :D)

We like many of the same books and movies! I'm an LOTR geek and like Narnia, Les Mis, POTO and Man From Snowy River, too.

Horses are terrific. I've had mine for seven years now and I can't imagine my life without her.

Sounds like you have a very interesting roster of guests. Snakes- *shudder*. :)

Sindarin is a fascinating language! Best wishes on learning it!

    1. Hi!
So glad that you stopped by! (I've kinda been stalking your blog for a week or two now, just thought I'd let you know.)

It is nice to meet you too! That is a lot of kids!

What is your horse's name? The horse I ride is named Cooper, but I sometimes refer to him as "Rhawion", which translates to "Wild, or Untamed Boy" in Sindarin. He has a way of testing people to see how much he can get away with before he gets punished. But I love him anyways.

Yeah, but we have not seen as many this past year, so that's good.

Thanks! I think the phrases I have mastered best are insults though, (this may or may not be a good thing...) but I'm getting pretty good at greetings and farewells.

    2. I'm flattered that you've been stalking my blog! Thank you for commenting- it's always fun to meet new friends.

My horse's name is Ria- short for Sangria, which is part of her registered name. Cooper sounds like a fun horse. Horses like him can really keep us riders on our toes. :)

LOL- for some reason, it seems that insults and bad words are the easiest to master in a language. I'm learning Spanish and Korean and the insults are all too easy to pick up. (I can actually insult people in four languages- NOT intentionally learned, I assure you. *headdesk*) Greetings and farewells are one of the most important parts of a language, so kudos to you for being well on your way to mastering them!

    3. :)

Cool name! How did you come up with it?
No kidding! If I don't give him enough treats he really pitches a fit.

Yup! It is probably not a good thing. I think it goes along with how easy it is to find ways to tear others down, instead of lifting them up and encouraging them. Thanks!

    4. My mother and I came up with the nickname for Ria, but her previous owners were the ones who gave her her registered name.
