A Day In The Life Explained by GIFs- plus a few other tags / / / / (posting two days in a row, what's this?)

Image
Or just embellished. Whatever floats your boat. Anyways, one day (a very long time ago, I am so sorry)  Marrok  tagged me and I spent half of forever gathering up the gifs and shoving it to the backburner. At first, I put it off because classes hadn't started yet, ergo it would be a very boring post. Then I sort of forgot about it for a few weeks because I was getting back to the grind of classes. Then I was emotionally out of whack (boy, job hunting can get tough, especially when nobody seems to need you. At least now I have my phone number memorized from filling out so many applications). Then I got a job and was just trying to tread water and keep everything in order and make sure all the deadlines were met  and  get enough sleep so I wouldn't be crabby. *tries to find a crab gif so I can pun* *can't* *settles for penguins* Then my classes ended and my job situation changed. And then classes started again, and we left for vacation. And now here I am,

The Snippet Tag

Image
*cough cough*  *emerges from hiding* I have a treat for you! Snippets!  (And don't worry, this is not the snippet post I have been promising ever since NaNo ended. Like, sheesh. That would have been a letdown. Anywho...) Sare  tagged me a while back. Ever since NaNo it's been making the rounds through the blogging community, and I had been interested in it. But I am a polite pirate and refuse to steal a tag unless it's a really good one that I haven't seen very much. And we all know the drill. Answer the questions, then select a couple fabulous bloggers to carry it on. 1. Share your most gripping, fascinating, and hooking first line of a story.  Hold up.  Line?  Only one line? *ditches that* Dust and ash. Cloud. The stench of burnt-ness hovered in the stuffy air. Red was the horizon. Darkness everywhere else.             A Queen sat on her throne. A creaky kind of crackly laugh ushered from her throat. Her eyes were watery, her hair l

Kudos to whoever can guess where I got the inspiration for the title. (hint: it is an old disney movie) I'm finally getting around to all those tags! (Actually, I only remember these three, so if I forgot yours, please give me the link to your post in the comments so I can appease thy disgruntled attitude  get back on top of it.) Olivia : Liebster Tag Rules: 1. Link back to the person who tagged you. 2. Answer the eleven questions. 3. Tag 11 bloggers, and let them know you tagged them. 4. Ask your tagged bloggers eleven questions. 1.) Tell us four names (if you don't know the answer to any, just tell the ones you do know): one that your parents would have given you if you were the opposite gender, one they considered once they knew your gender, one you would choose if you got to choose your own name, and one you would NOT like to have. 1. Probably Christian, because that was their default name for me if I turned out to be a boy since Lydia wasn't. 2. I have no

Wow, two posts in one day. Aren't we feeling lucky? Those were my favorite lines from Attack of the Clones. Happy June!

Quote Tag day #2

I need something funny. Mission accomplished. See y'all tomorrow!

Because I like to group multiple tags into one post

Image
(Note: I find that many of my posts consist of tags, and though I don't dislike tags [they can be quite entertaining], I would like to cut down on them in the future as they are essentially filler posts. From now on, I'll be a bit more selective.) Thank you to all the lovely people who have tagged me over the past month! Liebster,  Laura Rules: 1. Answer the 11 questions given by the person who nominated you 2. Nominate other bloggers (up to 11) and give them 11 questions to answer. Questions: 1. Would you rather live forever, or die tomorrow? That's a tough one. If I live forever, I could share the gospel with so many people, but never get to go to Heaven unless I was killed (there's a morbid thought). If I die tomorrow, I would go to Heaven (there are no downsides). (there's another thing about me; I like to weigh the costs and benefits to practically everything) 2. Best compliment you've ever received?  Someone told me I was pretty. (Tha

Quote Tag, day 3

Good Sunday! As Sunday is the third and final day of the marvelous quote tag, today I decided to post a Bible verse (actually, I decided that on Friday , but whatever). The Rules: 1. Thank the person who tagged/nominated you- thanks Abigayle! (Also, I'm pretty sure this is a rule for most every tag in existence, if you know of a tag where that isn't a rule, I'd love to know about it) 2. Nominate/tag three new bloggers every day. 3. Post a new quote every day for three consecutive days. The tag-ees: Jacqueline (or, She is Modest) KB Schollenberger Abigail Have fun with it y'all! (side note: I get to ride again today, and I'm so happy!)

Ok, so this is a little embarrassing, I completely forgot to tag anybody yesterday. No matter, I shall remedy the situation by tagging six people today instead of the required three. The tag-ees: Fawnabelle Laura Olivia Michaila S. F. Meredith See y'all tomorrow! Have a nice weekend!

Quote Tag, day 1

Image
Thanks to  Abigayle , I have been tagged for a three day tag focusing on quotes. So this is obviously day one. I'm going to post an uplifting/encouraging quote today, tomorrow I'm going to post a funny one, and then to finish out on Sunday, I'm going to post a Bible verse. There you have it, I'll see y'all tomorrow! (side note: I now have a "contact me" page, in the event that y'all want to talk. If not, that's fine too.)

To infinity, and beyond!

In which, once again, Chloe is tagged. :D I've done the infinity dreams tag/award before ( HERE ), in fact,  Abigail   tagged me that time as well.  Am I going to do it? Of course! New questions are always fun to answer, besides, I already basically said I was going to do it, but I digress. The Rules: 1. Thank the blogger who tagged you. 2. Tell us 11 facts about yourself. 3. Answer the 11 questions given to you. 4. Tag 11 bloggers and give them 11 new questions to answer. The Facts: 1. I've only been out of the US once. 2. I'm choosing to only focus on two writing projects right now. 3. I've been stung by a scorpion four times in two minutes (not counting a different time when I got stung once). 4. I've never gotten poison ivy, or chicken pox (neither of which are related in any form or fashion). 5. One time, Lydia and I decided to play 'hair salon'. With scissors. I was the victim. 6. I am constantly tweaking the recipe I use

The Tag Masterpost

Here you are, as promised. Enjoy! The Liebster Award: I've been nominated for this one before. ( Here ) Pfft, I'm doing it anyway. - Thank the blog who nominated you and link back to them. (Thanks  Laura !) - Nominate up to 11 other bloggers to receive the award. To be eligible, they need to have 200 followers or less. - Answer 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you. - Tell your readers 11 random facts about yourself. - Give your nominees 11 questions to answer on their blog when they post their nomination. Questions first: 1. How did you pick your blog name? Well, for a while, it was The Shy Introvert , I think I chose it mainly because I was extra shy, and it had a nice ring to it. However, back in September, I  concluded that I should change my blog name , and asked for a few ideas, among them was Rustling Thoughts.  2. What makes you really happy? Being with my family, also spending some quality alone time with a good boo
