Monthly recap: August

Image
August is already over? What even!? *cough* Actually August was one of my slower months as you can see from the huge number of blog posts I did  the lack thereof . Like seriously, two posts!? I have an excuse! (sort of) I did find a bunch of new music and I almost drowned when my online classes started (needless to say, to my shame, math was quickly pushed to the backburner. Gotta work on not doing that, I know). Also, I've been drooling over  the beach webcam . Mom and I are flying over on Monday, and the rest of the fam will join us on the 7th. Aunt Cendei is coming with us this time! She's gone with us two other times, but skipped last year. Stats and other bloggy news: 138 posts (counting this one) 848 comments 33 followers through Google (if you're following by email I have no idea how to keep track of you) 176 views is the record for one post 51 views is the highest for one post this month 24,958 pageviews all time Pageviews by country: Entry P...

Quote Tag, day 1

Image
Thanks to  Abigayle , I have been tagged for a three day tag focusing on quotes. The Rules: 1. Thank the person who tagged/nominated you- thanks Abigayle! (Also, I'm pretty sure this is a rule for most every tag in existence, if you know of a tag where that isn't a rule, I'd love to know about it) 2. Nominate/tag three new bloggers every day. 3. Post a new quote every day for three consecutive days. So this is obviously day one. I'm going to post an uplifting/encouraging quote today, tomorrow I'm going to post a funny one, and then to finish out on Sunday, I'm going to post a Bible verse. There you have it, I'll see y'all tomorrow! (side note: I now have a "contact me" page, in the event that y'all want to talk. If not, that's fine too.)

So, I have an obsession....

With quotes! Like really. I have five different documents open on my laptop dedicated to quotes. Ok, two of them are for movies and the quotes are mostly just funny sayings, one is quotes from movies that my family say, and one is funny things my older sister says, but that's besides the point. Anyways, I thought I would share some with y'all. For most of them I don't know who the author is, but they were just too good to pass up. "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." -Martin Luther King, Jr. "Many a false step is made by standing still." "Luck is when hard work meets opportunity." "You don't get to choose how you die, or when. You can only get to decide how you’re going to live."-Joan Baez “Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ.” "It is simply no good trying to keep any thrill: that is the very worst thing you can do. Let the thrill go - let it die away -...
