August/September Recap- apparently blogging is on the back burner

Image
It's been so long and I'm so sorry! All excuses aside (though Clarence has turned into a huge jerk and will only on occasion wake up before I spend 10-15 minutes convincing him to work with me- thus using him does not happen as frequently as in the past), I should have at least posted an August recap before now. In any case, here we are. Fall semester has started. My family has already left for our Maui trip (I am writing this up sitting on the bed listening to birds chatter outside while everyone else is down at the beach- I stayed up to work on a college assignment (which I  did  finish before typing all this up). Things are finally starting to cool down at home. But this is getting into the happenings and should not be in the intro, so. Happenings: August: 1. We had Christian's team come back through and spend the night a week before they would all be home. 2. Christian came home. 3. Just out of high school (from the last recap) came up to visit for a few d...

*coughcough* totally has this clickbait thing down. I almost dropped my only lens into my tea trying to get this shot so, *sips tea poshly* enjoy it. (yes, ‘poshly’ is totally a word, shush.) Stats: Entry Pageviews United States 532 Russia 201 Ukraine 38 Germany 24 Ireland 17 United Kingdom 9 Canada 7 France 4 Latvia 4 Netherlands 4 Happenings: 1. The final Beauty and the Beast trailer came out. We all desperately want to see it. Gabe doesn't though. *shakes head* IT’S SO PRETTY! 2. The super bowl happened. Don’t ask me whose side I was rooting for, bc I have no idea (and didn’t even pay attention for the most part). We had several families over from Church for fellowshipping, and so that we would have a reason to watch the super bowl because Christian is pretty much the only one who follows sports. Ah, but we had a beautiful sunset that night! 3. Clare...

Officially Freaking-out

Image
It was a dark and stormy night. The fog was so thick, it could have been cut with a butter-knife. Ok, not that drastic. But it was dark! It was a quiet evening, all was well. I was watching Wimbledon with my Gramma, when this email came in: Thinking I had somehow been hacked (a possibility, somebody has recently been trying to get into my Google account, but that was resolved by a simple password change), I sent an I'm absolutely terrified, what should I do  email to my mom and dad asking their opinion, and also tried to get Lydia's attention. Wait, what? It cannot be! But it is... Thanks so much for the biggest freak-out of this year Lydia! (I will be getting even)

Father's Day, Birthdays, Hurricanes, Pirates, and Malware

Happy Father's Day (belated :/ . Once you read the entire post, you'll see why it's late)! Let's just say that technology and I are not on the best of terms. The fact that I am even able to blog at the moment is just shy of a miracle. Somehow, a virus called "Malware" completely infested my laptop. Thank goodness I have an aunt, an uncle, and a gramma who are knowledgeable in the world of tech. After examining pretty much everything on it, they concluded that there were only two choices; either take it in to the Apple Store to get in cleaned out, or revert it to factory settings. Being me, not wanting to spend a bunch of money, or drive an hour to get something fixed, I chose the latter. After downloading all the documents and pictures (at least an hour process), figuring out how  to revert it, actually reverting it, waiting hours for it to finish 'computing' or whatever (over 15 of them), I was able to get it turned on. It was much easier said t...
