Introducing Me

I'm Chloe. Welcome!
(And yes, that is a chicken on my head)

First of all, and most importantly, I am a Christian.

I am constantly reminded that I am not perfect, but I'm ok with that. I know that I am just the way God created me to be.

I am not as shy as I once was, but I'm still working on stepping out of my comfort-zone.

To counteract that, I am way too sarcastic for my own good.

I'm 18.

I'm homeschooled, and I love it!

I'm the second born of six kids.

As a family, we love going to the beach!

I like photography. I'm not that great yet, but hey, practice makes perfect!

I don't understand people who "don't like" reading.

The Bible

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien

Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and The Horse and His Boy by C. S. Lewis

Pretty much any book by Janette Oke.

I also like watching movies (who doesn't?).

The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogies

Pirates of the Caribbean

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

almost anything Marvel related

The Star Wars saga

I practically live on music some days....
I sometimes listen to one song for hours....or days

The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings

Pirates of the Caribbean

Narnia

Les Misérables

On a different note, I love animals. I am often, jokingly, referred to as "The animal whisperer". I do not own a horse, but my neighbor is helping me learn to ride on one of her horses, and I work at a stable.

Our menagerie consists of several chickens, a few ducks, and two cats who hate each other.

  1. Sweet! We have a lot of things in common! You're a LOTR and Hobbit fan? *bro-fist* OH YEAH! I have no idea why they call it 'Sweet Sixteen':) I know how to write Dwarvish and some Elvish. I really...like REALLY want to learn to speak in Dwarvish and Elvish...it sounds so cool in LOTR and the Hobbit=D The fourth Pirates of the Caribbean has a mermaid in it so it's not the best...plus Will isn't in it so why would I watch it? lols=D Love God's Not Dead=D Love your blog:) I'm looking forward to more posts:)

Yup! What's not to like? It's some of the best literature in the history of ever (besides the Bible, of course), and the movies are second to none!

That's funny, I actually have the dwarfish alphabet written out. I use it when I write notes to my brother, sometimes. But I don't have it completely memorized yet.

I've heard both sides to the story. My uncle really likes it, but some of my friends really don't. Plus, mom and dad haven't seen it yet.

      Glad you like it!

I currently have several posts written, I just have to wait for my mom to give my the go-ahead (she has to read everything before I post it).

  3. I'm glad I found your blog. It looks like we have a fair amount in common. :)
I too can definitely listen to one song for days (maybe weeks?). ;)
I love LOTR, National Treasure, Mom's Night Out, and Pirates of the Caribbean (I've actually only ever seen the first and most of what I love about it is the music!).

Wow, sounds like we do have a lot in common!

Yes, the music is some of the best I've heard! (I can't say the music for the fourth one is my favorite, but it's still pretty good.)

  4. Mae Govannen!

It's always great to read a fellow LOTR blogger! Have you ever read/considered reading The Silmarillion? I'm rereading it for the fourth time, hehe. I love the Sound of Music, too! You are so lucky to get to horseback ride. If I had a horse I would name it Shadowfax, just saying... :D. I look forward to reading your posts! Galu!

A pleasure for me as well! Yes, I have! Earlier this year I found it at the library. I'm hoping to read it more though. Oh, wow, that's a lot!

I know! I'm so glad to have my neighbor! :)

YES! Love that name! If I ever get any pets for my own, I will be naming them after LOTR/TH characters, or Elvish names for that matter. :D

Ni lassui. Na lû e-govaned 'wîn.

Yeah, I saw that you had been tagged by some one else I follow, so I decided to take a look (that's pretty much how I've found most of the blogs I follow already). I have yet to read a post, but I'll be going back to the beginning and starting there. :)

      Haha, thanks! :D

    1. It is fun, there should be more big families. I giggle inside whenever people look surprised at how many siblings there are in my family.

Thanks! (Oh, and sorry to get back to you so late!)

  9. It's always slightly frightening and at the same time wonderful to find other humans in existence with whom you have much in common. Of the things we have in common: most relatable: Love of Tolkien Second most relatable (unfortunately): too sarcastic.

    1. Agreed! It's like "oh my goodness, I can relate to this person so much!" And then it's like "oh my goodness, this person is practically the same as me, and quite frankly, that's almost disturbing."

Sarcasm. The best way to have fun but still keep a straight face. :)

(Sorry it took so long for me to reply to your comment!)

    2. 2010 Live is amazing. John-Owen Jones for the win. Have you heard the Complete Symphonic Recording?

    3. I've heard a few of the songs from the complete symphonic, but not all the way through I don't think.

  13. Yay, another Christian homeschooler! :D I am also a shy introvert, but, like you, I've come a very long way. I'm more willing and comfortable stepping out of my comfort zone than I used to be. Yes, someone else who is very sarcastic! ;) I loove animals. Horses are actually my favorite animal. <3

It's so nice to meet you, and I look forward to getting to know you! :)
