A Day In The Life Explained by GIFs- plus a few other tags / / / / (posting two days in a row, what's this?)

Or just embellished. Whatever floats your boat.

Anyways, one day (a very long time ago, I am so sorry) Marrok tagged me and I spent half of forever gathering up the gifs and shoving it to the backburner.

At first, I put it off because classes hadn't started yet, ergo it would be a very boring post.

Then I sort of forgot about it for a few weeks because I was getting back to the grind of classes.

Then I was emotionally out of whack (boy, job hunting can get tough, especially when nobody seems to need you. At least now I have my phone number memorized from filling out so many applications).

Then I got a job and was just trying to tread water and keep everything in order and make sure all the deadlines were met and get enough sleep so I wouldn't be crabby.
*tries to find a crab gif so I can pun* *can't* *settles for penguins*
Then my classes ended and my job situation changed.

And then classes started again, and we left for vacation.

And now here I am, gradually writing up the intro. Like wow, I created the draft late January/early February. *resolves to get it posted before the year is out*

6:00am. Alarm goes off.

6:35-40ish. Downstairs packing my lunch.

6:50. Making and eating my breakfast.

7:10-15ish. Outside taking care of the birds.

7:30ish. Back upstairs putting my socks and hat on, grabbing my work bag. Going back downstairs to fill up all four of the water bottles I take to work.

7:45. In the car and driving Christian to work.

8. Pulling out of the parking lot at Christian's work.

8:30. Arrive at work.

9. Turnouts should be done, or almost.

9:10. Start on the first horse.

9:45. Start bringing in turnouts and taking round two out.

10:15. Round two should be done, or almost.

10:20. Start on horse #2.

11ish. Start on horse #3.

12. Bring in round two, then eat lunch.

After lunch, since there are no horses left outside, the schedule is less rigid. But then, my job is not necessarily completely predictable, and there are multiple variables so not all the times are exact. My arrival home changes all the time. I generally work 5-7 horses, with the option to ride a horse after hours, so I could be home by 3 in the afternoon, or it could be 5:30.

Afternoon. Finish remaining horses. Maybe ride.

Home.

Get cleaned up.

If time allows or if I have deadlines, do school.

Dinner at some point.

Relax until bedtime.

Monday through Wednesday, this is my schedule. Thursday and Friday, I don't drive Christian to work, so I don't need to get to work before 9, so shift everything forward by 30 minutes.

On the to next tag!

Sare tagged me for the Happiness Tag.

Things that make me happy:

  • Finding a new song that I end up liking.
  • The end of a good work day.
  • A good ride.
  • Joking around with family.
  • A tall cup of iced tea and a good book.
  • Watching my birds.
  • Seeing progress in the horses I work.
  • Blogging and writing again after a too long break.
  • Spending time with the people I love.
  • Singing on the way to and from work.
  • The smell of a freshly drug arena.
  • Watching the sunset.
  • Looking up at the stars.
  • A full tank of gas.

And S.F. tagged me for the Bookish Tag.

1. Which Book Has Been On Your Shelf The Longest?

My Precious Moments Bible that I got probably when I was about 4 or 5.

2. What is your current read, your last read, and the book you'll read next?

The Hidden Flame by Davis Bunn and Janette Oke. The Pilgrim's Regress by C.S. Lewis. And I have no idea what I'll read next.

3. What book did everyone like but you hated?

Gulliver's Travels.

4. What book do you keep telling yourself you'll read but you probably won't?

Nothing comes to mind.

5. What books are you saving for retirement?

Not so much retirement, but probably sometime after I move out. I want to eventually read the Harry Potter series, but Mom and Dad have said to wait on that, so it probably won't happen until I'm older.

6. Last page: Read it first or wait until the end?

Wait till the end, duh.

7. Acknowledgments: waste of paper and ink, or interesting aside?

The acknowledgment section is kind of like the works cited page at the end of an essay- completely necessary, though not everyone reads it.

8. Which book character would you switch places with?

Why would I want to switch places? Then the chances of being able to read my favorite books decreases.

9. Do you have a book that reminds of you something specific in your life? (Place, time, person)

The Hobbit reminds me of of freshmen year in highschool, because that's when I first started reading it and getting into LOTR.

10. Name an interesting book that you acquired in an interesting way.

All my books have either been gifts or I've bought, so no.

11. Have you ever given a book away for a special reason to a special person?

Nope.

12. Which book has been with you most places?

The Bible comes with me whenever we go out of town.

13. Any required reading in High School that wasn't so bad two years later?

I don't think I've picked up any required HS material that I didn't like a second time.

14. Used or brand new?
I like cheap, so used or gifted.

15. Have you ever read a Dan Brown book?
Nope.

16. Have you ever seen a movie you liked more then the book?
Sense and Sensibility. Yell and scream at me all you want, but If I had the choice between the two, I'd take the movie over the book.

17. Have you ever read a book that made you hungry (cook books included)?

Redwall. He does a very good job describing the meals, and they all sound delish!

18. Who is the person whose book advice you'll always take?
Mom, Lydia, sometimes Christian.

19. Is there a book out of your comfort zone (e.g outside your usual reading genre) that you ended up loving?
My mind is going blank, sorry.

Lastly, Evangeline  and Abigail both tagged me for the Sunshine Blogger Tag.

Evangeline:

What is your favorite fast food place?
Chickfila.

If you could learn any foreign language, which would it be?
I want to learn Sindarin, but I don't have the time, nor the motivation to learn it at the moment.
I need to learn Spanish.

What is your personal favorite animated film of all time?
like a ton of them, but I wouldn't say that I had an all time favorite. I enjoyed Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tangled, Frozen, How to Train Your Dragon, and so many others.

Would you rather be stranded on a deserted island, Antarctica (with supplies to stay warm), or a rugged mountain?
Which one has the cleanest water? How long would the supplies last in Antarctica? Is is just rock on the mountain, or are there trees and such? How close is the island to anything else?

What is your favorite episode of Star Wars?
WHY would you ask THAT question? I like all of them, but only tolerate prequels 1 and 2. Rogue One was amazing, the Originals are timeless, and Episodes 8 and 9 need to come out before I can choose an absolute favorite.

What is your favorite school subject?
Was. What was my favorite subject. Probably Literature, because it meant I got to read.

If you could spend the rest of your life doing any career you want, what would it be and why?
I want to stay in the horse business. I love it so much!

What is your favorite book that no one has ever heard of?
Nothing comes to mind.

Which do you prefer: spaghetti or Chinese food?
We eat spaghetti more often, and it's one of my favorite meals, but then the rarity of having chinese food makes it appealing as well.

Abigail:

1. Recommend a Booktube channel! Which one is your favorite?
I don't watch any.

2. What is your favorite hyped book?
Well, I'd say that the Bible is probably one of the most hyped books out there, so the Bible.

3. Any books you DNF'd (did not finish)?
I know I've put down a book, and I know I probably did it semi-recently, but I can't remember.

4. What musical album are you currently listening to on repeat?
Broadway Tarzan, Sinbad, Dead Men Tell No Tales, Broadway The Scarlet Pimpernel, Hidalgo.

5. Do you have a favorite classic?
Beauty and the Beast.

6. Have you rewatched a favorite television series? If so, what was it?
Not recently, no.

7. Hot dogs or hamburgers?
Hamburgers.

8. Give your favorite blogs a shout-out!

If I didn't mention you, I'm sorry, I'm a little brain dead at this point.

9. Which movie could you watch a thousand times and not get bored?
The Hobbit or LOTR.

10. Do you compete in any sports?
Not currently.

11. Favorite Bible verse?

Colossians 3:17, ESV: "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Wow, that was a lot! Congrats on making it to the end!

I'll go ahead and tag the people I gave shoutouts to, since their links are already up. Y'all are welcome to choose whichever tag you want to do!

And of course, if anyone just wants to do any of these tags, it is perfectly fine to steal them.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
One thing that makes you happy?
If you could learn a second language, what would it be?
What book should I read?
