Quote tag, day 2

Image
Ok, so this is a little embarrassing, I completely forgot to tag anybody yesterday. No matter, I shall remedy the situation by tagging six people today instead of the required three. The Rules: 1. Thank the person who tagged/nominated you- thanks Abigayle! (Also, I'm pretty sure this is a rule for most every tag in existence, if you know of a tag where that isn't a rule, I'd love to know about it) 2. Nominate/tag three new bloggers every day. 3. Post a new quote every day for three consecutive days. The tag-ees: Fawnabelle Laura Olivia Michaila S. F. Meredith See y'all tomorrow! Have a nice weekend!

Quote Tag, day 1

Thanks to  Abigayle , I have been tagged for a three day tag focusing on quotes. So this is obviously day one. I'm going to post an uplifting/encouraging quote today, tomorrow I'm going to post a funny one, and then to finish out on Sunday, I'm going to post a Bible verse. There you have it, I'll see y'all tomorrow! (side note: I now have a "contact me" page, in the event that y'all want to talk. If not, that's fine too.)

The weekend without coffee (plus some ramblings)

I find it strange how one minute you can be completely brain dead, but the next you can talk a mile a minute. Friday started at 4:30 in the morning for me, because despite all my preparations the night before, I still had not packed my debate bag or straightened my hair, plus I have a legitimate fear of being late for anything and everything, and thus plan extra time for almost everything. Check in was at 7:30. We only lived half an hour away from the building (everyone was excited about that!). They were running a little late, so the first round wasn't until about 8:15, whereas under normal tournament circumstances, it would have started at 8. Christian and I were affirmative that round. It ended at about 9:35, leaving us 10 minutes to prepare for the next round at 9:45. Usually they plan two hours for each debate, however, they decided to give us 15 minutes between the first two rounds for some strange reason. We rushed back to the student area to wait for postings to g

Pre-tournament stress

SOON. THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. THE FINAL TOURNAMENT BEFORE NATIONALS. IS TOMORROW. ...wait...  TOMORROW!? *internal screams* *flails arms* *goes into hyper-freak-out-ation*  *calmly and peacefully completes math lesson* Last week, I planned out what I was going to do today.  FREAK OUT 1. Take deep breaths- check 2. Drink tea- check (also had some coffee) 3. Listen to music- check 4. Read- does a blogpost count? 5. Go to bed early- well, I am quite obviously awake at the moment, however, I shall endeavor to go to bed at a reasonable hour 6. Laugh hysterically at nothing- I've snorted a couple times 7. Try not to cry- Lydia and I went to go see God's Not Dead 2 , but a couple tears slipped out. I haven't cried about the tournament yet though Normal things: 1. Complete math lesson- check 2. Grade Christian's math- check 3. Put the chickens up for the night- check 4. Kitchen clean-u

To infinity, and beyond!

In which, once again, Chloe is tagged. :D I've done the infinity dreams tag/award before ( HERE ), in fact,  Abigail   tagged me that time as well.  Am I going to do it? Of course! New questions are always fun to answer, besides, I already basically said I was going to do it, but I digress. The Rules: 1. Thank the blogger who tagged you. 2. Tell us 11 facts about yourself. 3. Answer the 11 questions given to you. 4. Tag 11 bloggers and give them 11 new questions to answer. The Facts: 1. I've only been out of the US once. 2. I'm choosing to only focus on two writing projects right now. 3. I've been stung by a scorpion four times in two minutes (not counting a different time when I got stung once). 4. I've never gotten poison ivy, or chicken pox (neither of which are related in any form or fashion). 5. One time, Lydia and I decided to play 'hair salon'. With scissors. I was the victim. 6. I am constantly tweaking the recipe I use

Day trip to Waco

Yesterday, at 4:30 in the morning, my alarm went off. Why did it go off that early? Because we were leaving at 6 in the morning to drive 2-3 hours to Waco for no particular reason, and Aron was going to arrive at 5:30. Everyone except Dad and Christian piled into the car, got the music situated, and drove off into the darkness. Rain had been forecasted for Friday a couple times during the week, but we had hopes that it would not be severe. We never exactly saw the sun come up, but it was light by about 7:30. We stopped for breakfast at Cafe Cappuccino, around 8-8:30. It was raining, but not too hard. It was delicious. After that, we drove around Waco in the rain. We circled a couple parks, but did not stop because of the rain. Aron showed us the Baylor college campus, and also drove us around the law school where he took his classes. We drove some more, stopped at a game and disc-golf store, then went to lunch at a burger place. They spelled my name 'Khole'. I
